Pleasing, fresh scents of lemon-lime, faint oyster shell, sense of minerals, talc and green apple. Palate is lightly crunchy, just the faintest bit toasty, some waxiness to texture, finishes with a smudge of halva-like sweet nuttiness and a little stickiness. A classic Beechworth Chardonnay, straw-gold with a green tinge: aromas of hazelnut, yellow peach, and nuances of matchstick mingled with spicy-oak notes of ginger and orange zest; the attack is full of rich, peach and nectarine fruit flavours.
