Double Oaked gets it’s name by being aged the same way as the classic Woodford Reserve, but following this, it is further matured in barrels which have been heavily toasted and lightly charred. This gives an added depth of sweet oaken character as well as developing the fruit, vanilla and caramel flavours.

There are numerous of distilleries in Kentucky but Woodford Reserve is one of the oldest with it’s beginnings being traceable back to 1797. Responsible for key innovations such as inventing sour mash fermentation the distillery has carved out a name for themselves in American history and they show no signs of slowing down!
