Inspired by a our founder’s chance encounter with a man in the South of Spain, where he was introduced to Sherry for the first time, we decided to explore this style further to create a malt whisky blend with its core whiskies aged in Spanish Sherry and S panish red wine casks. We’ve named it THE STORY OF THE SPANIARD.

Full, soft and sumptuous on the palate with notes of citrus peel, red wine and spices. The finish is long, with hints of rich vanilla panna cotta, ripe berries and cherries.

We may change the type of casks from year to year based on availability and experimentation, but Spanish casks – either Sherry wine casks orSherry-style wine casks – will always play the key role.

18.9% Malt whisky from Teaninich distillery (First-fill Red wine cask)
15.9% Highland Malt Blend* (Custom French oak cask – Heavy toast)
12.3% Malt whisky from Strathmil l distillery (Recharred American barrel)
12% Malt whisky from Glendullan distillery (First-fill Sherry butt)
7.3% Malt whisky from Deanston distillery (Re-fill Sherry butt)
3.4% Malt whisky from a distillery near the town of Aberlour (Revat ted Bourbon to First-fill Sherry butt)
* Highland Malt Blend is a proprietary blend of 60% Clynelish, 20% Dailuaine and 20% Teaninich, all aged in First-fill Americanbarrels.
