For Ardbeg, the year 2000 was truly a momentous year for Ardbeg. With the renovation of the Ardbeg Distillery in place, Dr. Bill Lumsden and the whisky creation team used their magic on this serendipitous rare stock. Vintage_Y2K 23YO will be the first of the series to launch in 2024: a unique 23 year old whisky matured in Oloroso & Bourbon casks.

The nose is a delicate interplay between lemon balsam and linseed oil, subtly accented by heather honey and creosote. On the palate, it strikes a sublime balanceintensely sweet yet classically smoky, punctuated by notes of peppermint and aniseed that gradually transform into rich ground coffee and oak tannins. A whisky that encapsulates its era while transcending it, Ardbeg Y2K is a rare and timeless treasure.
