Hampden Estate was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rum for about three centuries in the community of Trelawny, which is considered the Grand Cru of Jamaican rum. In 2009, a new era opened in the spirits world: The company began aging its Pure Single Rum. Hampden Estate, the only brand of high-proof rums, is known worldwide for its diversity of distillates.

The unique and exceptional Hampden Estate Classic was produced exclusively from the HLCF brand and wins the hearts of rum lovers with its intense and uncompromising taste experience. HLCF stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured and is one of several brands which stands for rums with a high ester concentration between 400 and 600 gr/HLPA. The distillation of the truly refined Hampden takes place in copper pot stills, using only local sugar cane from the distillery’s surroundings. Maturation takes place for seven years in oak barrels. Bottling takes place without the addition of colorants and sugar.
