TASTING NOTE: Deeply coloured, with a rich, ripe fruit-filled palate (blackberry, damsons), a hint of sweet spice, and good structure, with a pleasantly firm finish. This would really suit someone who likes big Malbec and other New World reds.

FOOD MATCH: A great choice for peppered steak.

FURTHER INFO: Small 2 ha estate. Average 20 year old vines. 90% Merlot, 10% Cab Franc, 9 months ageing in barrel.

Drinking as dark and dense as it looks, this young St Emilion is a rich and bold fruit bomb with slightly meaty earthy aromas of crushed black fruit, pepper and cocoa, plush mouthfeel and fine ripe tannins. Bordeaux for lovers of generous fruit-forward Merlot.
