The history of the Frescobaldi family starts over a thousand years ago and is closely connected with the history of Tuscany. At the high point of medieval Florence, the Frescobaldi’s spread their influence as bankers, earning the title of treasures to the English crown. A little later, with the flowering of the Renaissance, they became patrons of major works in Florence, such as the construction of the Santa Trinita bridge and the Basilica of Santo Spirito. We want the family estates, with their vineyards, to be the expression of Tuscan diversity and for the wines to reflect each individual terroir, respecting their nature and authenticity. In the heart of the Maremma is the Tenuta Ammiraglia Estate. Its vineyards draw an evocative geometry on the hills, skimming the nearby Tyrrhenian coast

Tasting Notes:
Lamaione embodies the season that produced it. The balance between each of its components is seamless and the elegant freshness is unconventional. The ruby-red color with tinges of purple is intense and impenetrable. The bouquet offers a wonderful array of aromas. Fruit is the star of the show, with pervasive hints of blueberry balanced out by fresh balsamic and minty notes. The fragrance of the fruit seems beautifully crisp. Lamaione has a pleasant tannic melody when tasted. The level of alcohol and freshness are perfectly balanced, and the finish is long and persistent.
