Heartwarming, spicy Malbec from vineyards planted at an astonishing 2300m (Australia’s most elevated vineyard in New England is just over 1300m by comparison). This is Bodega Colome’s ‘authentic’ Malbec, all wild-fermented and made with no new oak, which is uncommon for premium Malbec. It is intensely dark and intensely spicy with pepper, clove, star anise etc… As you can imagine there is rippingly good acidity to keep all the fruit density and richness in check. Plenty of powerful, ripe tannins to go around as well!
