Bruichladdich Black Art 8.1 is a 1994 single malt that has been matured for more than a quarter of a century. Aromas of lime zest, fresh oranges, caramel, dried apricots, pipe tobacco and maple syrup fill the nose. The palate offers notes of sweet oak, maple syrup, walnuts, vanilla, apricots and millionaire’s shortbread that linger in the finish.

Bruichladdichs distillery can be found on the utterly wonderful Hebridean isle of Islay and is incredibly proud of it too, promoting much of this Island and what it has to offer on their website. All their whiskies use only Scottish Barley (its called Scotch for a reason as they say) and are born and created to reflect the character and history of Islay. Their presentation is cracking too.
