Product Description

Cardhu can trace its history back to 1811 when John and Helen Cumming first started to distil – albeit without a licence initially (neighbours would look out for the Red Flag, which was a sign that excise officer was visiting). As soon as the family were able to afford the correct paperwork this was done with the distillery experiencing fantastic growth from its tiny beginnings throughout the mid 19th century.

Tasting Notes

On the palate it opens with baked apple & warming baking spices like cinnamon and allspice that then quickly evolves into a rich caramel character with hints of clove, red apple and a gentle malty biscuit finish.
