The Premier Cru Chaponnires is located next to Rugiens bas in the heart of the village of Pommard. Wine making Grapes are destemmed and fermented in open vats for about 2 weeks. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels between 15 to 18 months. Winemaker’s comments / Gastronomy Nice ruby cherry color, very bright. Elegant nose like all the Pommard from the Southern part of the village, soft spices and red berries also. Elegant in the mouth, lively with a lot of energy.
