A beautifully balanced big red, offering serious value compared to Grenache-based wines from the Rhne Valley. From the same stable as the unoaked this pure Garnacha spends at least two months in barrels. Malolactic fermentation and then the lick of oak impart a smooth, almost creamy texture to the rich dark fruit, and from somewhere there’s a bright, almost minty herbal note that glitters through the full, vibrant bramble and cherry character. This is a hearty wine that will be perfectly at home alongside the richer fare of the colder months. At the same time its generous, exuberant flavours are well suited to outdoor meals, grills and steaks.
