Montepeloso A Quo Toscana boasts gorgeous, well delineated aromatics and has tons of unbridled energy. The crystalline vibrancy of the fruit is impossible not to notice and admire. Ripe plums, tart raspberries, wild berries and graphite give the wine a copious intensity balanced by minerality and structure. Layers of fruit build to the vinous yet precise finish. Lashings of dark berries & fruits laced with sweet spices, earthiness & red florals. There’s a hint of minerality in the background too. The rich palate matches the nose, with the red & dark fruits taking centre stage, followed nicely with the spice & the florals linger. It’s medium bodied, with good acidity, and the tannins are grippy to start, but smooth out nicely the further you go.
