A small cooperative of only 15 growers, Pertinace is located in the village of Treiso in the heart of the Barbaresco zone. Founded in 1972 by Mario Barbero, the winery works with growers who tend to some of the nest crus in this commune, including ‘Nervo’ and ‘Marcarini’, for the production of Barbaresco. Their members also cultivate other famous local varieties, such as Barbera and Dolcetto, as well as Moscato d’Asti. All totaled, the growers manage 170 acres of vines in this area.
Tasting Notes:
Pertinace Arneis is an elegant and expressive white wine that showcases the characteristics of the Arneis grape. It presents a pale straw-yellow color in the glass, exuding freshness. The nose is greeted with enticing aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, and ripe stone fruits. On the palate, it offers a crisp and vibrant character, with flavors of pear, peach, and a touch of almond. The well-balanced acidity adds freshness and liveliness, while the clean and refreshing finish leaves a lasting impression. Pertinace Arneis is a versatile and enjoyable wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes or can be savored on its own, capturing the essence of the Arneis grape with finesse.
