The name originates from a lively debate during which Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel was declared by peers to be a “renegade,” a title that he proudly hung on to. This series explores forgotten techniques as well as Ferrand’s team intensive research in uncovering these innovative methods.

Take our latest edition Renegade n3, an eau-de-vie de vin made of 100% Grande Champagne Premier Cru de Cognac Vintage 2011 then matured in old barrels that have contained Plantation Rum from the storied Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica. This delicious creation is a tribute to old master blenders who would go to the harbor in Bordeaux to collect rum barrels as they arrived from the Caribbean.
