Aromas of blackberry, leather, tar, olive brine and hints of sarsaparilla. Flavors express blueberry compote with a roasted, smoky character and a touch of clove. The wine is plush and full bodied with a viscous rich mouthfeel.

Under the direction of veteran winemaker Bob Lindquist, Qupe was one of the first to advocate American-made Syrah and other Rhone varietals such as Grenache, Roussanne, and Marsanne. Bob has been a leader in the movement producing world class editions since the early 1980s and continues his quest with the same zeal today
