As a champion of small farmers and sites of individuality, we are proud to represent Trnel. Claude-Henri Trnel established the firm that bears his name in the late 1920s. After World War II, his son Andr took the foundation provided him and began a long career seeking to enlighten people about the delightful wines of Beaujolais and Mcon, Burgundys most southerly point. Andr tirelessly promoted the crus of Beaujolais and previously unheralded communes of Mcon, and is now considered one of the leading historic figures of the region. Fruit centered with sense of place; wines that are fresh and alive and oozing with personality. The ‘Hommage’ efforts are a debut and taste of a time gone by.

Tasting Notes

With a pretty golden color, this wine exudes a bouquet of aromas combining stone fruits, such as white peach and ripe apricot, and notes of hawthorn. On the palate, it is fresh but also offers astonishing roundness and amplitude. It is a very pleasant wine, endowed with a freshness and a minerality which gives it a good length.
