The region is comprised of four departments in the Languedoc-Roussillon: Pyrnes-Orientales, Aude, Hrault and Gard. A rich combination of steep slopes, hilly peaks and vineyards dotted with wild herbs, the Pays dOc is home to very diverse soils: sandy, limestone, schist, clay, and gravel.
